Our Products We now offer six outstanding varieties of pawpaw: These were selected by Neal Peterson from among the 1500+ open-pollinated seedlings that he raised in his orchards, after 20 years of careful evaluation. They are protected by plant patents. Our saplings are field grown, one-year grafts on three-year old seedling rootstock. They are vigorous and healthy and average three feet in height. Our standard sapling is field-grown rather than container-grown because we think we are able to produce a stronger root system and sturdier overall tree this way. Although the transplant shock is worse, we think the tree will ultimately grow better. |
